I've looked over the homepage here, but I can't seem to figure out how to add a station.  I would like to add "The Office" from 181.FM as after searching for it, it doesn't appear in the database.  Here's a link to the codes:

EDIT:  Sorry, nevermind, I see that after you select the continent, country, and State/Province that the "Add a Station" button does appear.

Yes, you first select where you want to add your station. Maybe its better to also have an add station option from the mainpage.

That definitely would make it more obvious to the new user.

By the way, how does the Webstation database compare with the Penbex one?  I've noticed that the ones I can access using the original firmware are pretty spotty at times with several saying "Service Unavailable."  That often tends to glitch the next one that I try to connect to.  There doesn't seem to be a simple way of browsing through the stations on my Centrios without going back and forth through the menus.

Does the Webstation database include all of the ones in the Penbex database?  That is, is the Penbex one a subset of the Webstation one?

One suggestion might be to rename "Private Stations" to "Your Favorite Stations."

We have more stations and more information in the database and are working on a big update that could double or triple the number of stations

We have all their stations although there are a lot of doubles and bad stations in the Penbex database. So that has been cleaned up and a lot of others have been added.

Besides that, you can only suggest new stations at Penbex. They might or might not add it after some time. Here you can always add stations to your own personal favorites without any moderation. Adding stations to the main database is no problem either even for unregistered individuals. We work with moderators that can check if the station data is correct and make it active. There are no special restrictions on becoming a moderator as long as you dont make too much of a mess It is mainly a spam protection. I am thinking of introducing "country owners/moderators" that take care of a piece of the data this is usually easier to keep clean.

This website and the firmwares are community driven. I prefer to keep an open structure and not have to rely on Penbex's will to release firmwares, fixes and maintain the database.

The new layout includes a navigation bar that has a "MyFavorites" button that will bring you directly to your personal favorites.

Thanks for the info!  By the way, excellent work on the site and hacking efforts.  I wonder if Linuxdoctor will be continuing with his work on the unit and if he might collaborate with you.  It would be nice to see an improved firmware version with some nicer features than the original.  Still, I usually only tune into 181.fm The Office at work so I find my Centrios works fine as is.  I have it on about 10 hours a day.  It's such a nice little unit that I just bought another one of them.

Just an update, I deleted all the stations in MyFavorites and readded them, and now all is working once more.  I'm not sure why my radio glitched there for a while as I couldn't access anyone's favorites or Shoutcast.
