Topic: adding stations to personal FAV working?

if its just work, nevermind. not that i am happy about my 5 bricks here,
but you being sick would have worried me more.

greetings     - heinz -

Sorry, too much work on my plate. Will take care of it asap.

william, ten days without a reply is not the real william, so i just hope
you are not sick or otherwise. a holiday, yes, you deserve it, but sick, no.

but i am stuck without you. i cannot move working stations into my
personal FAV (well, not into the unit here), and the old ULRs just dont
work anymore. and you said you found what the problem was.

greetings      - heinz -

but you will let me know where it was? i dont want to think i am hallucinating.
i accept a computer or a database or a program to go crazy, but not myself.

greetings       - heinz -

Ok, problem found. Will be fixed asap.
Uploading attachements to messages will be added soon as well.

william tks for taking so much effort.

simple to find out: one of the TV stations that did stop to play because they
changed their  URL was (v1) NDR Schleswig Holstein (see your list).

i adopted the URL to a new one that (supposedly) plays, and renamed
that station just a tiny bit, it now shows as (v2) NDR Schleswig-Holstien.

notice the '-' between words and the mis-spelling of Holstien, done on
purpose so i could see the difference easier.

v2 plays fine online, and also shows up online in your database under
my name.

then i am erasing all favorites in my unit, and once more load them from
your database onto my unit. logically, v2 should show up, no?

but i again get v1 ! with no hyphen, 'ei' and NOT playing.

can you figure it out?

is there no simple way to upload an attachment, so i could upload a
screenshot that would explain much easier?

greetings      - heinz -

PS: region, almost. i am in bulgaria at the moment, but also live in limburg
(theoretically often).

Looking into this at the moment..

What I wrote bofore about clearing the cache is accurate.
I think there must be something else that is causing problems.

I see you have 6 database entries in radio favorites.
The 6 entries that are in the database are also presented to the device.
Last change on March 17th.

I see you have 11 database entries in tvo favorites.
The 11 entries that are in the database are also presented to the device.
Last change on April 3rd.

Since you mention day 4 on the 7th, I guess you refer to TV favorites.
Sorry to do it like this but if there is a problem it needs to be fixed and the abcxyz does not make it clear.

622, N-TV
636, ZDF Info Kanal
642, WDR Fernsehen
685, ARD Tagesschau
692, NDR Hamburg
695, NDR Schleswig Holstein
714, ZDF
725, Eins Extra
731, 3SAT (64kbps_WMV)16/9 Down
2891, L1 TV (regionaal; Limburg)
2993, DWTV Germ/Engl

These are both present in the database linked to your username and are visible on my device when I select your name.
I can not login on the site with your username but since this is what is actually in the database I assume it should also be the list presented to you...
So I need to know what is wrong, what data you expect or what data you actually see different...

ps. you were talking about stations from Germany, Limburg and Belgium.. you must be close to my location

unfortunately, william, not correct, nothing to do with GMT
or timezones - we are now in day 4, and still the wrong entries
show up.

and naturally, as i wrote having tried the database of a total
stranger in between, i went thru the complete process of
getting to my personal FAVs (the long user listing), only, they
are not there, only the old ones aaaa, bbbb, and cccc.

wheras on you online database i show up as xxxx, yyyy and zzzz.

** ... Going to settings and selecting your user name will
** erase the cached data and thus directly load new data
 ** from the server

in my case, not. not with my online list, but with someone else`s,
yes it will.

does this make sense?

finaly weekend...
Anyway, that is not really the case. Going to settings and selecting your user name will erase the cached data and thus directly load new data from the server.
However, it will load the new data anyway after a bit of time...

What I did not think of before is that I setup the time on the devices to work with local timezones etc. and the server is running in GMT. So this might cause a delay..
I will check this and change it in a the next version. That way differences are spotted directly.

What do you mean with "even after a reset"?

Did you go to the "settings" again after the change in the listenlive.nl database?
And then there to "favourites" again and thru the long list of users again of this forum?

Only after that procedure the change will be made on your device as well ...

still issues with the FAV database, on your side. can it be that there are
two version, only updated at certain intervalls?

look here:

lets say i have stations aaaa, bbbb, and cccc in my online FAV database
with you, later logged in, transferred and used on my ARNOVA.

works fine.

now, in my online database i remove aaaa, bbbb and cccc, and replace
them with xxxx, yyyy and zzzz.

they show up there, and even online tests play them nicely.

on the unit at home it still has aaaa, bbbb, and cccc, even after a reset.

so, i change my FAVS on the unit to somebody elses, a total stranger.
funny selection, but shows up on the unit and works fine.

meantime, check the online list, as expected, xxxx, yyyy and zzzz.

then back on the unit, change the FAVS from the stranger to my own,
and bang, believe it or not, i have aaaa, bbbb, and cccc again!

tried over two hours, same.

now what?

Seems more quiet now.. in terms of attacks..
So now is a good time to test.

trying to trace it: could it be that it has to do with WHERE in your database the
station is? trying to add belgium stations, for example, almost immediately comes
back with the DO YOU WANT ... - popup, and right away adds the station.

going to the genre 70's or 80', then trying from there to add a station, takes either
very long for the popup to come, or, mostly, not at all.

remember, i am only trying stations that really connect, most of them with 4 stars.

Hi,

It seems someone is attacking the site (using the tor service..)
Many requests with exotic url's..  These people should get a life.. or contact me directly if they want access to the database
I am indeed doing some things in the background including monitoring the moves.
I cant really say if this is causing the problems but since there are otherwise no issues at all with the favorites I figure it is.
You should have 7 radio favorites in your list.. at least that is what I can see here both the data presented to your device and the database seem to match.

just added 5 new radio stations here on the website into my favorites. checked
first if they really played, too. then used the ADD TO FAV button to do it.

all seemed to work fine.

except: there are no new favorites in my FAV listing. not one of them.

heh?

greetings     - heinz -

PS: sorry, that was last night. tried today again, and it worked fine. no idea
why (william fiddeling in the background?), maybe just bad luck.

PPS: slowly i am going PENBEX-crazy: just now again it is NOT working.
