Topic: N-1004 Service Not Available

Do a factory reset, make sure you are not using any special dns settings as that option is no longer available.
The Cobra firmware from this server works directly without DNS modifications.

The server is up and running and providing radio station data to the devices (otherwise you could not read this as it is the same server running the forum as well)

My CIR 2000 by Cobra stopped working again a few days ago. I have tried to reload your firmware but now, the radio doesn't recognize the drive the firmware is on: either usb or ssid.

What can I do?

Do not use the alternative DNS settings anymore. This was a temporary solution but the release of the new firmware has rendered that useless.

Also I have disabled the DNS as there are so many attacks to DNS servers on the net.

Hello,
just upgraded to Version KW-1004-2.0.0.23
defined DNS1 & DNS2 as per previous instructions
Set static IP
LAN connection

Menu -> i.Radio -> World Station -> Gettings Genres... ->     after 5 mins display goes back to World Station

still not working...

Thank you. I have reset the unit to the OEM settings, set DNS 1+2  as recommended by you and have tried to reconnect: still no success. When you say that it may take a few hours to sort out the cache, do I try to reconnect during a few hours or is there another routine I should try?

Use the previous version. This seems to work well.

Hello...

I have tried all the recommended solutions on my Cobra CIR 2000A with no success, I am still getting the "Service not available" message.

What do you recommend?

Hello!

I own a Cobra CIR2000A and as of last Saturday 3/1/14, I'm getting "Service not available" on my radio when trying to hit World Station and Shoutcast.

Is there a quick fix?

I am a new subscriber and will appreciate any help. I'm from Quebec Canada.

Hello,

 

Firmwares are being created but in the mean time.. go to settings, network settings, set a static IP and change the DNS 1 & 2 to 062.048.120.202

After this change you can use your device again making use of our server.

You can then also select favorites on our server (listenlive.nl) and see them on the device!

 At least browsing via location and the favorites function connected to our server and user accounts works.

I will try to fix the shoutcast and genres as soon as possible.

Hi, I have downloaded and successfully installed (USB procedure) KW-1004-2.0.0.18. i to my Watson CO 1790

i.Radio --> SHOUTcast --T --or ---0-9- -- 

Service Not Available

i.Radio -- World Station --Genres --Top 40--  Getting Genres
Service Not Available
When I navigate to Setup --> Information (I see)
F/W Ver:2.0.0
uP Ver:0x25
Please help.

Ok, the problem was due to an incorrect DNS setting.
It is solved now. Let me know if you keep having problems.

Hi,
