From an operational viewpoint, the load balancing and redirection is not difficult at all. Finding where in the firmware this is a problem is however a lot more difficult. For sure the fact that all these SkyTC manufactured models (to which the HMT350 belongs) have different library files and sometimes even different linux versions does not help much.
It really complicates the task of finding bugs and how to resolve it... Thats the reason why it takes long.

I told, that there are radio stations, which receive my contact by an
stream URL and return a 'load balanced' stream server address for usage. In rare cases, when called via such a 'load balanced' address, the same address is returned - pure coincidence.
I described the process here:
Quote: A radio station is addressed with the stream link (URL).
The radio station can switch to a less busy server for loading balance and report its direct address back to the caller for use.
The general address of our Athens example
"http://stream.radiojar.com/e206r95qsp8uv"
may be routed i.e. to
"http://n01.radiojar.com/e206r95qsp8uv?rj-ttl=5&rj-tok=AAABhIZxYl8AL6HwOoTvbfbA9g". Calling this stream address results in a new target, i. e. in
"http://n02.radiojar.com/e206r95qsp8uv?rj-ttl=5&rj-tok=AAABhIolAlkAB8nqMqND3RzzJQ". |
But that does not help to receive, because only with crossed LL (not normal usage) from my HMT350 the address reported by the server is also used for use. That's what I have already described a few times before, for example here above ' Message # 3 Posted at September 25, 2022, 6:14 pm, subject: LL System Recovery'. It can't be that difficult - and yes: In other words: -ín 'normal operation' (LL not crossed) the redirection is not working on the HMT350 -in 'll crossed' operation the HMT350 redirects correctly.
I would almost think it would be nice if another user besides me had this problem.

Of course I know how the load balancing works. Quote:This traffic control behavior of radio stations is handled by my XORO HMT350 only with crossed LL. And I do not know, if only this device type shows this problem. |
Does that mean you have tested normal hmt350 operation and the result is: -using the main address the stream does not work. -using one of the forwarded adresses directly the stream does work.
In other words: -ín 'normal operation' (LL not crossed) the redirection is not working on the HMT350 -in 'll crossed' operation the HMT350 redirects correctly.
If so, the problem lies in the redirection part.. which is mainly handled by 'curl' inside the device firmware.

Sorry for delay. I was not available for e few days. A radio station is addressed with the stream link (URL).

I know, but it is fairly complex... So it will take time
Current stream url: http://stream.radiojar.com/e206r95qsp8uv Did you try stream url: http://n01.radiojar.com/e206r95qsp8uv?rj-ttl=5&rj-tok=AAABhIZxYl8AL6HwOoTvbfbA9g Is there any difference between the two for your radio device? (Last Edited by penbex on November 17, 2022, 4:26 pm)

There is a new radio station called "Athens Free Radio" on the database. This is a station again which runs on my radio device only when I force the crossed LL. This is a (receiver?) problem already known here in this forum since a while, but nobody takes care.

For sure: crossed LL only became a server issue when the whole problem could no longer be read after the server was restored. (Last Edited by Nobi on October 5, 2022, 5:22 am)

I removed podcast and vodcast data from the website. There were no updates for a long time. Also there were no recent connections to these sections.
I fixed rss.
crossed ll is not something that can be fixed on the server. It appears related to the radio's firmware internals and more specifically to how the device routes internet traffic. I am still not sure where exactly a fix could be done but it would most likely require a firmware update. (Last Edited by penbex on September 30, 2022, 5:52 pm)

It seems that the completion of all of the LL system will still take a while.
Missing are today: Podcast data, Vodcast data, Forum RSS access, and do not forget the crossed LL station access behavior described here above.
What else? - I do not know.

William, many thanks!
The recovered status of the LL system seems to be at the end of February this year. Several newer items, corrected station records and forum posts, have to be reworked now.
For example the "radio station available only with crossed LL status". Here are a few words out of the corresponding (lost) forum thread: _____________________________________
Thanks Anthony, I hope I checked the correct stations now. I asked for a valid name like it is visible on the LL station list, because it is not easy to select the right one sometimes. The problem with all of these iHeart stations is, that the direct and final stream address is not available.
After calling the stream URL of such a Station, iHeart prepares the final access link itself. Why radio devices may be not able to handle such a business, I do not know. That`s definitely an item for the specialist.
I looked at WBZ NewsRadio 1030 [AAC] Boston http://www.listenlive.nl/show.php?id=39864 http://stream.revma.ihrhls.com/zc7729 http://n32b-e2.revma.ihrhls.com/zc7729

WHJJ News Radio 920/104.7 FM [AAC] Providence http://www.listenlive.nl/show.php?id=42517 http://stream.revma.ihrhls.com/zc3223 http://n32b-e2.revma.ihrhls.com/zc3223

I found the same behavior which you described on my radio (XORO HMT350). All of the stations listed above do not work on my machine. That changes when I force this crossed LL (no access to the database) on it. With crossed LL these station are okay also with XORO HMT350.

Hi William,
Is the current status the final status of the system recovery now? Or are you still working on it?
